Dispatcher – Kansas City, MO

Description:
This position is responsible for coordinating, planning and scheduling all freight movement into and out of the warehouse(s), ensuring that drivers are aware of and prepared for their runs each day, scheduling appointments with customers, and the proper positioning of equipment.
- Develops daily schedules of deliveries and pickups that meet service and efficiency standards.
- Verify that drivers know their schedules and adhere to them.
- Assure that loads are consolidated to the maximum possible extent.
- Report and document OS&D’s.
- Be knowledgeable of DOT policies and requirements.
- Customer Service responsibilities as assigned for backup purposes.
- Maintain good relationships with delivery points and customers.
- Achieve daily tasks in a timely manner.
- Oversee trailer loading and employee compliance.
- Maintain Driver Records.
- Tractor/trailer maintenance.
- General record keeping and filing.
Experience Requirement:
- Dispatching, 1 year (Preferred)
